Fairview Health Services is seeking an Allergist / Immunologist to join a multispecialty practice at Fairview Clinics – Fridley in Fridley, MN.  The Allergist/Immunologist will also provide outreach at least one other Fairview Clinic.

As an Allergist/Immunologist with Fairview, you will provide full-spectrum allergy and immunology care, while developing your practice based on your clinical interests. Responsibilities would include: interviewing and examining patients, assessment with x-ray, ordering and interpreting allergy skin tests, TRUE patch tests, spirometry and diagnosis and management of asthma, COPD, environmental and food allergies, atopic dermatitis, bee sting allergy, contact dermatitis, hives, angioedema, chronic cough and basic evaluation for immune deficiencies. The majority of diagnosis and management is for environmental allergies.

Join our multispecialty practice, with a demonstrated need from an established referral base of Fairview employed primary care and subspecialty physicians. The Allergist / Immunologist works collaboratively with a large network of both primary care and specialty physicians throughout the Fairview Medical Group practice, including partners at the University of Minnesota, which includes many subspecialists through an extensive outreach programs. These specialties include: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, ENT, Urology and Ophthalmology.

Practice Details:

  • Provide outpatient care. Inpatient consultations and rounding are not included in this position.
  • Patient encounters average 50-55 patients per week.
  • Onsite ancillary services include: Lab,Optical Center, Xray, Mammography, Ultrasound and DEXA.
  • We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
  • Physicians work a 4- 5 day clinical work-week with expectation of 36 patient contact hours per week.
  • Patients are admitted to the hospitalist service at Maple Grove Hospital.
  • Practitioner leadership is valued, encouraged and supported at all levels of our organization.

Position Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited ACGME Allergy / Immunology fellowship training program and Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association. Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
